Chinnor Silver Band has always prided itself on being able to produce its own generations of players through its very successful training programme. An indication of this success is that no fewer than 8 of the current senior Band have progressed through the Training Band.

The Training Band currently consists of 15 players which practice every Saturday morning. Like the Senior Band we perform a number of times throughout the year, including
 regular appearances at the village's Christian Aid fete, Mill Lane School's Fun Day and the band's Christmas Concert. Our philosophy has always been to encourage youngsters into the brass band world by giving them free in house 1:1 tuition & loan of an instrument until they reach a level where they can join the Training Band fully - how many other organisations can boast the same?
