Chinnor Remembrance Parade 11th November 2018

Once again the band were really proud to perform at our Village’s Remembrance parade. The village turned out in force for what was the 100 year celebration and yet again the sun shone brightly even though the forecast earlier in the week looked awful! Our Principal Cornet, Chris Andrews, gave a faultless performance of the Last Post after which the local community silently reflected & remembered those who had lost their lives fighting for our freedom.

Chinnor Awards evening 21st August 2018

The Band performed at the Community Awards evening in the marquee at Whites Field. The event was organised and run by Chinnor Parish Council and recognised local residents in our Community that volunteer their services in order to support and help many associations and community groups within our Village. It was amazing to see how many volunteers we have in our local community and the amount of time they give to volunteering is astounding – Chinnor really is a great community. The band was really proud to see their Musical Director, Dave Pegram, receive an award for his commitment to the Arts.

Mill Meadows Henley Bandstand Concert 3rd June 2018

Again the sun shone and Mill Meadows was again packed with an audience enjoying the fantastic setting by the River Thames. The Band gave a great performance and received lots of great feedback on the day. It was an absolute scorcher of a day and the whole band then retired to the Waterside Bistro in Benson for a bite to eat and a drink or two!

Kingston Blount Street Fayre 12th May 2018

A firm favourite in the band’s diary that kicks off their Summer season. Again the sun shone and there was a great crowd in attendance. The local School children gave a fantastic dance performance accompanied by the band playing the Floral Dance. A typically British Street Fayre……..

Finally it’s Contest day 18th March 2018

The Band boarded the coach early on Sunday morning for the annual trip to Stevenage for the Southern Counties Area Contest. The day was a great success with the band being placed 6th in their section for their performance of Ex Terra Lucem and also winning an award for the best Bass section! It was then back to the local Indian for a Post Contest Curry
